“The Murmuring” is the final episode of Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities. This might have two of the best performances I’ve seen in the entire series. “The Murmuring” was directed by Jennifer Kent with teleplay by Kent based on a short story by Guillermo del Toro. It stars Essie Davis, Andrew Lincoln, and Hannah Galway. Both Davis and Lincoln have amazing performances. Saying that they’re just amazing is seriously underselling their performances. The set and costume designs do so much to support those performances. The effects are subtle and only adds to the story. I give “The Murmuring” 9.5 tents out of 10.
I really hope that there are more episodes. There are so many more filmmakers that I would like to see work with del Toro. I also had the idea that there could be spin offs that would have other horror producers have their own cabinets. The first person that came to my mind was Larry Fessenden.
