The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Finale

“Alloyed” is the finale of the first season of The Rings of Power. We get major revelations and seismic shifts in power. We learn the relationship between The Stranger and the three beings following after him. They believe him to be Sauron but after a fight with the Harfoot group they’re banished by the stranger. This comes as a surprise when they figure out that he’s one of the Istari. Galadriel and Halbrand arrive in Eregion and after Halbrand is treated for his wounds he plants some ideas in Celembrimbor’s mind on how to use the mithril. This makes Galadriel look into the bloodlines of the Southlands’ royalty. This leads to a confrontation between Halbrand and Galadriel, which leads to the revelation of Halbrand being Sauron. Elrond finds Galadriel in the river with Halbrand gone. The three elves finish using the mithril to make three rings using Galadriel’s dagger. Elendil and Miriel arrive back home to find that the king Tar-Palantir has died. The season ends with Sauron going back to Mordor and The Stranger and Nori traveling together.

I was blown away by “Alloyed” and I wasn’t prepared for how emotional the episode would be. I was in tears because of how emotional some of the moments were. The revelations and the curveballs in the episode made audibly express my shock. I’m looking forward to what the second season of the show will bring. I give “Alloyed” 10 rings out of 10.
