“Just Jen” is the sixth episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and it’s a more fun episode than last week’s was. The majority of the episode deals with Jen going to a wedding for a friend from high school. After going to the wedding as She-Hulk, Jen is asked to stay herself while at the wedding. Titania has also wormed her way into the wedding just to mess with Jen, which leads to a fight later in the episode. While Jen is at the wedding, Nikki Ramos and Mallory Book work together on a messy divorce for a super powered individual going by the name Mr. Immortal. While working on the case they find some posts on the site called Intelligencia targeting Jen. The episode ends with Nikki leaving a message about the posts to Jen, against Mallory’s suggestions, while Jen is targeted by Wrecking Crew again.
I feel like the Intelligencia stuff was what the creators expected to happen online, which is probably pretty close to some complaints online. I’ve seen some stuff close but not as extreme as what is featured on the show. I liked how the episode switched up the format and made a wedding episode fun, which was helped along by the divorce subplot. Renée Elise Goldsberry and Ginger Gonzaga have such fun chemistry that I hope they get more time together in the next few episodes. I’m a fan of Goldsberry from her time on Girls5Eva, which I recommend.
“Just Jen” is another fun episode that does some more set up. There are only three more episodes left and I don’t really know where all the story is going. There are a few strands that I think will be tied up, or at the very least set other things up. I give “Just Jen” 7.5 plates of fries out of 10.
