The finale of Obi-Wan Kenobi is an emotional hour of TV. I wasn’t prepared for how emotional it would be. The entire series was leading up to the confrontation between Vader and Obi-Wan and it was the center piece of the episode. It also wraps up the rest of the story from the season. It even sets all of the characters to where they should be for the original trilogy.
I knew that the duel between Vader and Obi-Wan would be emotional because the music was sorrowful rather than upbeat and fast. That didn’t even prepare me for everything that would go down. The intercutting between that duel and the rampage Reva was on helped keep the tension high. Reva seemed to begin her redemption at the end of her time on screen.
The finale of Obi-Wan Kenobi is the most fitting end for the series that it could have had. I really hope that it doesn’t continue past this, because it would only lessen the impact of the story. If they continued Reva’s story somewhere else I think it would work well. That way it would show her trying to atone for the acts she committed as part of the Inquisition. If you haven’t already been watching it I recommend this show to you if you’re a Star Wars fan. I give the finale of Obi-Wan Kenobi 10 lightsaber hilts out of 10.
